Lipoedema in the legs is treated by means of liposuction of the legs. At ReSculpt Clinic , we ReSculpt Clinic developed a special lipoedema liposuction technique called 'Tumescent Liposuction'. This is a safe and successful treatment for effectively removing lipoedema in the legs.

We treat lipoedema in the legs by performing liposuction on the legs. This is done using tumescent liposuction. A highly effective treatment with minimal recovery time and the best results.

After treatment

After the lipoedema treatment program for the legs, the results will be visible quickly. We allow for a minimum of 6 months of recovery between the upper legs and lower legs. This is very important for healing.

Tumescent liposuction is not covered by insurance and is not reimbursed by health insurers, even though lipoedema is recognized as a medical condition.

Depending on the amount Fat removed during lipoedema leg treatment, the results are often visible immediately after the procedure. These results are permanent: the Fat is removed does not return. Although a large proportion of the abnormal fat tissue is removed from the legs, it is not possible to remove all of it. This is because a layer of fat tissue must always remain between the skin and the underlying muscles.

The remaining fat tissue in the legs may still behave like lipoedema, but your lipoedema will never be as severe as it was before the treatment.

It is important to maintain your weight in order to enjoy the results of the lipoedema leg treatment for many years to come. After the procedure, movement often becomes easier because there is less fat mass and symptoms such as pain and heaviness decrease. This increases motivation and makes it easier to keep moving and possibly lose even more weight.
