What is liposuction treatment?

At ReSculpt Clinic, we use tumescent liposuction. In this form of liposuction treatment, as much excess fatty tissue as possible is removed under local anesthesia. This local anesthesia allows you to adjust your posture and move around during the liposuction treatment. Which in turn benefits the final result.

During treatment, tumescent fluid is injected into the area to be treated. This enlarges and numbs the fatty tissue. This allows the fatty tissue to be removed more easily and accurately with a thin cannula (suction tube).

How does liposuction treatment proceed?

In recent years, we have helped countless clients at our clinic remove excess fat under the chin. With our specialized treatment in tumescent liposuction, we strive for optimal results.

Our effective step-by-step plan is designed to ensure perfect liposuction treatment of the double chin, which also allows us to achieve the best results when treating other areas such as the abdomen and love handles.

1. Consultation - Lower chin liposuction

Before treatment, a consultation will take place. During the consultation it will be determined how many treatments are needed. It will also be determined whether a follow-up treatment with Belkyra can be done. The entire procedure and possible risks will be discussed.

2. The day of liposuction treatment

Before treatment begins, the areas to be treated are disinfected and marked off. Then the tumescent fluid is injected. After this, there will be a short wait for the liquid to take effect.

Through small incisions, excess fat is removed through a thin cannula. This will reduce the volume in the double chin. Once enough fat is removed, the small incisions are closed again with sutures.

3. Aftercare of double chin treatment

After treatment, the treated area is covered with a pressure bandage. If desired, a small meal of your choice in the rest room and the doctor takes some time to answer questions.

The first week after treatment, the treated area will be a little sore. There may be bruising and will feel some discomfort. You can shower the day after the procedure. Avoid heavy labor the first week after the double chin liposuction treatment.

When will I see results from liposuction treatment?

Generally, it takes four to six months, after the removal of excess fat, until the final result of liposuction treatment can be fully seen.

Is chin liposuction permanent?

During liposculpture / liposuction, the excess fat cells are permanently removed. Thus, the result of liposuction under the chin is long-lasting.

These fat cells cannot be recreated by the body. However, if the body weight increases again, the remaining fat cells in the body can become larger, which can cause excess fat under the chin to become visible again.
