On June 9 and 10, 2017, we exchanged information about lipoedema at an international level. One of the things that was clearly emphasized here is that liposuction provides a lasting improvement in the symptoms associated with lipoedema. Performing lymphatic drainage before and after treatment is very important.
Difference between Lipedema Fat Normal Fat
There was also a presentation on the differences between normal Fat and lipoedema Fat. The difference with healthy Fat that lipoedema has increased cell division, elevated CD90 and CD146 (produced by TNF-alpha produced by macrophages) and reduced adipogenesis. There is also a difference in adipocyte morphology.
